Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle massage that encourages the lymph fluids to circulate through the body. MLD helps to remove toxins and improves circulation through the body. MLD can also help reduce extreme soreness due to build up of lactic acid. Sometimes due to high intensity exercise, marathons and other extreme sports.
- Post - op Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic Drainage is important after cosmetic surgery to help excess fluid move back into the lymphatic passages where it can be flushed from the body. This prevents fibrosis (thick scar under the skin), reduces swelling and bruising. Sessions typically last 40-60 minutes depending on type of surgery that was done.
